Mary-ann has always enjoyed sewing, cooking, photography and flower arranging. When she moved to Scotland she found in her environment an ideal opportunity to explore other creative activities. Mary-ann enrolled on a City & Guilds course at Perth College - winning the 'Most Promising Student of the Year' award. In 2007 she moved on to Dundee College where she has qualified in Patchwork & Quilting; Felt Making; and Part 1 Machine Embroidery courses. The 'Dyer Prize' was awarded to Mary-ann for her excellent work with colour in the Felt Making course. Mary-ann says she feels lucky to have had a very encouraging and knowledgeable tutor and has enjoyed being able to try so many different aspects of textile design. The forming of LimeTArts has been a great time of inspiration and creative enjoyment for her in working together as a group. |
